Supplementary Instruction for Surrey Engineering Students (SISES)

The main goal of my project is to introduce Supplementary Instruction to University of Surrey Engineering students. To achieve this goal the project will:
- Implement Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) in Level 1 Statics & Dynamics module (200 students) using levels 2 and 3 students as instructors.
- Collaborate with Manchester PASS team to learn form their experience in supplementary instruction (an initial visit to Manchester on 3rd and 4th May 2007 has already taken place).
- Collaborate with the Centre for Academic Development, University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA. The training requirements of the supplemental instruction supervisor workshop have been completed in Kansas City, September 2007, which provides qualifications to train SI leaders.
- Redesign the materials and delivery of the module.
I completed my Fellowship project in June 2008. Here are the results of my work
